All people have gone through change in the course of their personal and professional lives. Not all of it has been a pleasant experience. Poorly handled or imposed change tends to leave people bitter about ideas and approaches that were used. Part of a change effort is often allowing people to “work through” their past experience with change, rather than trying to talk themout of it.

To get an idea of how this works, take your proposed change out to a few of your stakeholders and have a dialogue around these areas.
